I used to think that a shingle was a shingle.  However, the more I learned about home, the more I realized that the roofing materials made a big difference on not only how your home looked, but how well it could withstand the elements that mother nature would throw at it.  That is when I started taking my roofing job a little more seriously.  I was planned on getting the cheapest solution out there, but quickly switched it to a better option for the area that I live in.  The wind gets pretty gusty, and the rain can come down pretty hard.
