I used to think that a shingle was a shingle.  However, the more I learned about home, the more I realized that the roofing materials made a big difference on not only how your home looked, but how well it could withstand the elements that mother nature would throw at it.  That is when I started taking my roofing job a little more seriously.  I was planned on getting the cheapest solution out there, but quickly switched it to a better option for the area that I live in.  The wind gets pretty gusty, and the rain can come down pretty hard.

Dean wanted to get into his new apartment yesterday if not sooner.  He style was eclectic but not jumbled, so he decided to go with Bamboo Blinds.  He wasn’t aware of the immense versatility of this particular window material.  He looked at the bamboo window shades, which pull across the windows much as a curtain does; bamboo vertical blinds which can be pulled up and down vertically and adjust for more or less light and privacy; bamboo roman shades, which fold up on a pull system; outdoor bamboo shades, bamboo roll up blinds, Japanese bamboo blinds, discount bamboo shades…Dean chose bamboo roman shades, and loved his apartment’s look.

My husband and I are improving our kitchen, but we’re on a tight budget, so we’ve been looking for economical solutions to our remodel. Laminate flooring, ceramic flooring, and Armstrong flooring were great solutions we looked into. Our current vinyl flooring in our kitchen was dingy and very old, so we decided to get new vinyl tile flooring. Through our local home stores, we were able to find a very modern and beautiful pattern that matches our current home furnishings, and the store installed it for us. Now we’re so proud of our kitchen floor, and we’re happy with the resulting look and durability.

When we moved out to the country, we did not have a fireplace or wood stove installed, mainly because I could not decide where it would fit best given our floor plan.  Now I am so glad we did not install a wood burning stove; we decided instead to go with installing solar panels, and it is just amazing at the difference!  I do not have to vacuum and dust all the time, because there is no firewood chips and dust and ash from the burning, and best of all I do not have to beg or plead or fight about getting my husband to clean the fire grate!

When I went down to my local bathroom store I was very disappointed to find that the type of bathtub I wanted to have been sold out, and so I had to look for a different model. I am having my house completely remodeled. I am getting some Exterior French Doors to lead out to my new patio. I am going to put a pool out there with a hot tub and all kinds of fun new stuff. I watched as the doors were being put in and the french door hardware be added. I would have liked to get double french door’s, but the space was not big enough. I also considered sliding glass french doors, but that was to big as well. I do not care really what the doors look like anymore. I just want it to look nice.
