ERP Implementation and Change Management

The implementation of an oracle erp system requires prior planning for it to be successful. A critical consideration which could mean the difference between success and failure for any company implementing such a system is how the change from the legacy system to the ERP system is managed.Since employees are already used to the routines of the old system, they are likely to resist the new ERP system unless they obtain management guarantee that the new system is really necessary and will not lead to job losses. Departmental heads should therefore be involved in the entire process and should play the role of motivators and facilitators.
